PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police are searching for two men who robbed a CVS Pharmacy overnight in the city's Oakland section.

Police say the robbery happened just after 3 a.m. at the store on the corner of Centre Avenue and Craig Street in Oakland.

The store is open 24-hours, so it was open when the robbers walked inside.

Police believe two men used a gun to rob the clerk behind the counter.

"They are very nice people down here. I've been here about three or four years now, I think this is the first time I've heard about any break-ins, burglaries, robberies," said Kathy Slosky, who lives in North Oakland.

The suspects got away with an undetermined amount of cash. Police say no one was injured during the robbery.

"Something has to be done," added Slosky. "There is no need for guns. When I grew up, they used fists."

It is not known if surveillance video captured the robbery.
There are cameras on the outside of the store. People who live in the area say it's a safe neighborhood.

"I actually live like a mile away, it's on my way to school," said Laura Tucker, who lives in Friendship. "I think it's relatively safe; obviously, there's this huge, nice apartment building right here."

The store was closed for several hours while detectives conducted their initial investigation.

Pittsburgh Police are asking anyone who has information about this robbery to give them a call.
