Man arrested for homicide at home in Northview Heights

A man is now in custody for a homicide over the weekend in the city of Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh police arrested Corey Carter in the shooting death of Laron Harrison. Harrison died at a home on Hazlett Street in Northview Heights on Saturday morning.

Investigators using surveillance cameras say they tracked Carter's vehicle to the scene and discovered Carter was also involved in a shots-fired incident with Harrison last week.

At that time, Harrison was arrested for possession of a firearm without a license.

Carter is now at the Allegheny County Jail.
