Man Critically Injured In North Versailles Shooting

NORTH VERSAILLES (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after a man was critically injured in a shooting this afternoon in North Versailles.

According to officials, the 29-year-old victim was shot while in a car around 2:45 p.m. He was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries.

Officers were combing several scenes, including the 500 block of Marvin Street, and Broadway Extension where and victim was found along with the car, which had bullet holes in it.

There's no word yet on motive or the victim's identity. He suffered gunshot wounds to the upper back and neck area. He was last listed in listed in critical but stable condition at a local hospital.

Police are searching for the gunman.

The Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit is investigating.
