North Allegheny HS Mini-THON Raises $20K To Fight Childhood Cancer

WEXFORD (KDKA) -- Students at North Allegheny High School raised more than $20,000 to help fight childhood cancer Saturday night.

At least 300 young people danced for six hours during the school's second annual "Mini-THON", which is similar to Penn State's "Thon".

Proceeds benefit the Four Diamonds fund that supports kids at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.

Five-year-old Ayden Gora made the trip from Hershey to be a part of the dance. People in attendance were happy to make the experience special for him.

"Its just really nice to have the whole night be about him. And we had a grand entrance, he loves Star Wars so we have a storm trooper come in greet him," said Vibha Reddy.
