New Kensington Man Killed In Overnight Accident Near Ford City

FORD CITY, Pa. (KDKA)- Ronald C. Heuston Jr., 25, was killed last night when he lost control of his vehicle near Ford City.

His 2007 Hyundai Elantra veered off the road and hit a rock barrier. Heuston Jr. struck a telephone pole and trees before coming to a stop 100 yards from where he went off the road.

Heuston was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Brian K. Myers.

He wasn't wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and an autopsy won't be performed.

According to Myers, the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head and thorax. The toxicology results are pending, but speed and alcohol are believed to be a factor.
