Man Arrested In Connection To Fatal Shooting In New Castle

NEW CASTLE (KDKA) -- A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in New Castle early Saturday morning.

Officers were sent to Double D's Cafe on East Washington Street around 2:15 a.m. for a report that someone had been shot.

When officers arrived, they found 33-year-old Joseph Alan Kelosky, of Wampum, Pa., lying in the parking lot. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A second victim was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. She was then transferred to a hospital in Ohio.

New Castle Police said Saturday evening that 29-year-old David A. Williams, of New Castle, had been arrested in connection to the shooting.

Investigators believe the shooting was the result of a disturbance between other individuals at Double D's Cafe.

Williams is facing multiple charges, including criminal homicide and aggravated assault. He was sent to the Lawrence County Jail and will be arraigned Sunday morning.
