New Appeal Filed To Try To Prevent St. Philip School From Closing

CRAFTON (KDKA) -- Parents of students at St. Philip School in Crafton are making another appeal to prevent it from closing.

They claim the diocese unlawfully took the school from the St. Philip Parish.

They say that deeply harmed the fabric of the parish and the faithful.

Bishop Zubik said says the school will close due to lower attendance and financial issues.

It will merge with the St. Margaret of Scotland School in Green Tree.
