Organizers said it was a proper sendoff for Fleury who spent 14 seasons with the Penguins and recently left in the NHL Expansion Draft for the Las Vegas Golden Knights.

"What a great way to honor Marc-Andre, and what a great way to have a penguin named Flower continue here in Pittsburgh, even after Marc-Andre leaves," said Cheryl Tracy, the executive director at the Aviary.

Festivities also included penguin painting sessions, a raffle of Penguins gear signed by Fleury, and an appearance from Iceburgh.

Anyone wearing something with the Penguins' name or logo received a free raffle ticket.
