Munhall Council President Charged After Crash

MUNHALL (KDKA) – A local city council president is charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

Munhall Councilman Dan Lloyd crashed into the back of a woman's car on East Eighth Avenue Friday.

She claims she suffered back pain, and that Lloyd left the scene when she said police were on their way.

Lloyd told KDKA it was a fender bender and that the woman never mentioned she was hurt.

He said he stayed for at least 10 minutes to exchange insurance information.

"We handled this like we would handle any other accident of the same nature," said Police Chief Patrick Campbell. "The charges were approved by the district attorney. He was not treated better than anyone else."

The Munhall Police chief says the crash was handled like any other accident and he was not treated any better than anyone else.
