Mt. Oliver Boy Killed In Shooting Tearfully Remembered At Candlelight Vigil

MT. OLIVER (KDKA) -- There was a vigil Tuesday night in Mount Oliver for the 11-year-old boy who was shot and killed exactly one month ago while he and his older brother were playing video games in their home.

David McIntyre, a sixth grader at Pittsburgh Classical Academy, died in his Hays Avenue home on Nov. 1. He and his brother, 16-year-old C.J. were in the living room when police said the suspect came through the front door.

Allegheny County Police say there's been no arrest and no motive has been established.

C.J. was wounded in the incident and is still recovering.

David's mother, Amanda McKnight, her voice trembling, spoke at the vigil.

"All I want for Christmas is for my son's killer off the street," she said.

Directing her remarks to the gunman, McKnight said, "I don't know who you are, but I hope you're watching, I hope this face haunts you. I hope my son's face haunts you."

Eric Calender, friends with both shooting victims, broke down in tears during the vigil

"It's not fair," he said. "It's just not fair. I miss David."
