Mother Revives Infant After Near-Drowning In New Castle

NEW CASTLE (KDKA) -- A mother saved the day in New Castle when she revived an infant that nearly drowned.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Saturday on Wabash Street near North Cedar Street.

Fire officials say the 1-year-old boy wandered into a pool, about three feet deep.

The baby's mother found him unresponsive, but was able to revive him through administering CPR.

He was flown to Children's Hospital. Officials have not revealed his condition.
