Morgantown's Professional Baseball Team Needs A Name

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - The suggestion box is open for names for Morgantown's new professional baseball team.

Submissions will be accepted until Sept. 26 at www.morgantownprobaseball.com. Voting on the top suggestions will then be held on the website from Sept. 29 to Oct. 3.

The Pittsburgh Pirates' short season Class A affiliate will start playing next summer at a ballpark currently under construction. The team will share the stadium with West Virginia University's baseball team, whose home schedule occurs in the spring.

The Pirates already have a Class A South Atlantic League affiliate in Charleston, the West Virginia Power.
