Morehouse: Penguins No Longer Up For Sale

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Five months after Ron Burkle and Mario Lemieux put the Penguins up for sale, the team is starting their 50th season off the market.

"We did look at a bunch of different things; one of them included the outright sale of the franchise. We're not looking at that right now," Penguins CEO David Morehouse tells the "KDKA Morning News". "We couldn't be luckier to have owners like this in Pittsburgh."

Reports said the franchise was priced around $700 million.
