Missing East Pittsburgh Man Found Dead

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Officials have confirmed that a missing East Pittsburgh man has been found dead.

Richard Dewall Jr., 41, was last seen on Feb. 25 walking in the Borough of East Pittsburgh.

According to Chief Lori Fruncek from East Pittsburgh Police, Dewall was found dead Sunday. The cause and manner of his death have not been provided.

Police had previously said he was missing under suspicious circumstances.

His family members told KDKA Saturday that they had begun to worry, and that the way he disappeared was odd.

"He got a phone call and then left, left his cell phone and wallet on the table. We were sure he'd be right back," his brother Steve Krise said.

Some important dates passed since he was last seen. The family said they would have heard from him if he was able to communicate.

"He has a kid, he hasn't called and checked on him. 15-year-old kid had a birthday the other day, he hasn't called. I knew something was wrong then," Krise said.
