Memorial Day sales are starting this week and you will find deep discounts on big ticket items.

We've seen the trend with Black Friday sales, as they are happening earlier and earlier.

The same goes for Memorial Day sales, which are already underway.

"It's a great advantage for shoppers to take advantage of early sales so they can spend the holiday with their families," Brent Shelton of FatWallet.com said.

The folks at FatWallet.com say big ticket items are seeing big discounts.

"This is one of the best times of year, if not the best, to buy mattresses and bedroom sets," Shelton said.

Home appliances are seeing deep discounts from 20 to 50 percent for things like refrigerators and stoves.
