'Me and Earl and the Dying Girl' Interview

Last Summer, Pittsburgh was the perfect host for the filming of the American comedy-drama Me and Earl and the Dying Girl directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon. The film is based on Jesse Andrews' debut novel of the same name and focuses on an awkward Schenley High School senior, Greg Gaines (Thomas Mann), and his relationships with his film making buddy, Earl (RJ Cyler) and his childhood friend Rachel (Olivia Cooke) who has just been diagnosed with leukemia.

Nomi from Pittsburgh's CW Green Team had the opportunity to speak with Gomez-Rejon, Andrews (a Pittsburgh native), and the stars of the film about the film making process, their experience here in Pittsburgh, and their favorite films.
