Man Fatally Shot In Chest In McKeesport

McKEESPORT (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in McKeesport Monday night.

The shooting happened around 9 p.m. in the 1300 block of Maple Avenue.

The victim has been identified as Ronald Carter, 29, of Pittsburgh.

Carter was shot in the chest and found on the sidewalk. He died from his injuries.

Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Derrick Means.

He is described as being about 6-feet-3-inches tall and weighing 270 pounds. He is believed to have ties to Hazelwood and Clairton.

Means was last seen driving a dark 2007 Dodge Magnum with Pennsylvania license plate KDE-1979.

He also goes by the nickname of "snowman."

Anyone who sees Means is asked to call 911. Meanwhile, anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call McKeesport Police or Allegheny County Police at (412)-473-1300.
