Crews Called Twice To Fire Scene In McKeesport

MCKEESPORT (KDKA) -- Fire caused significant damage to a home in McKeesport Thursday night.

The two-alarm fire broke out around 9 p.m. in the 2400-block of Highland Avenue.

Smoke and flames poured from the home as crews worked to put out the blaze.

According to initial reports, it may have started in the kitchen. There's no word on what sparked the fire.

Around 3:30 a.m. Friday morning, crews were called back to the scene after the fire rekindled.

No injuries were reported.

The Red Cross said it was assisting 5 adults who were displaced by the fire, including 3 who needed a place to stay.
