One Person Killed In Shooting In McKees Rocks, Allegheny County Police Investigating

MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. (KDKA) -- Allegheny County homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left one person dead in McKees Rocks.

McKees Rocks Police and paramedics were dispatched to the 300 block of Shingiss Street around 11:45 p.m. Saturday.

Officers arrived at the scene and discovered 24-year-old Kwame Washington, of Pittsburgh, who had been shot multiple times in the torso.

Washington was pronounced dead at the scene.

Allegheny County homicide detectives arrived at the scene and learned that Washington and a woman were sitting in a parked Chevrolet Equinox.

It was then that an unknown man approached the passenger side of the vehicle and fired a gun into the Equinox, striking Washington who was seated in the front passenger seat.

Police say that there are currently no suspects and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
