McDonald Police Warning About Impersonation Scam Calls

MCDONALD (KDKA) -- A local police department is warning about a scam.

The McDonald Police Department said Friday on its Facebook that it received a report that a scammer called a local resident, claiming to be a McDonald police officer.

The scammer told the resident a warrant was out for her arrest, and the resident's caller ID matched the department's phone number, authorities said.

The McDonald Police Department said the call did not come from their department.
