Mayor's Office Cancels Order For $1,800 Coffee Machine

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The mayor's office will go without a coffee machine after deciding against purchasing a nearly $2,000 model.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that Mayor Bill Peduto's office had planned to buy a Multi-Max Single Cup coffee machine, costing $1,800.

However, the newspaper writes that the purchase was cancelled after the Trib questioned officials about it.

A Peduto spokesperson tells the newspaper the office decided the purchase wouldn't be "a wise use of city money."
