Mardi Gras Celebration Kicks Off On North Side

A group of business owners are hoping to bring a taste of New Orleans to Pittsburgh.

On Wednesday, they kicked off what they are calling the city's first neighborhood-wide Mardi Gras celebration.

Dozens of businesses are offering food, drink and retail specials. Live entertainment is also planned.

It is all leading up to Fat Tuesday when WQED's Rick Sebak will be crowned "Mardi Gras King."
