Man Wanted For Local Fatal Shooting Arrested In Louisiana

ALLEGHENY COUNTY (KDKA) -- A man who was wanted for a local fatal shooting was found and arrested in Louisiana on Friday.

Allegheny County Police say 21-year-old Joshua Wardlaw was pulled over for a traffic violation in Louisiana. He was identified and arrested on a homicide warrant for a fatal shooting that took place in Forward Township last month.

The shooting took place around 2 a.m. on August 6 outside Saloon 136 on Rainbow Run Road. Wardlaw is accused of fatally shooting 27-year-old Johnathan Minnie.

Watch Bob Allen's report from August 7:

Witnesses told detectives at the time that Minnie was in the bar parking lot with two women when Wardlaw got out of a car, said "What's up?", and opened fire. Minnie suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was sent to Monongahela Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:30 a.m.

Wardlaw is being lodged in the Lafayette Parish correctional center until he is extradited to Allegheny County.
