Man Tased, Arrested For Threatening Bar Patrons With Box Cutter

CANONSBURG (KDKA) – A Washington County man is facing charges for allegedly threatening bar patrons with a box cutter.

According to the Observer-Reporter, the incident happened at D's Locker Room on North Jefferson Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police were called after 40-year-old Charles Earlywine became unruly when asked to leave the bar by the bartender.

When police arrived, Earlywine was holding a box cutter in a hallway near the pool room. Officers used a Taser on Earlywine after he refused to drop the box cutter.

According to the bartender, Earlywine was intoxicated and had been causing problems at the establishment all evening.

Patrons in the bar told officers Earlywine had threatened them with the box cutter.

Earlywine is facing a list of charges including, simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

He is being held in the Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.
