Man Takes Cash, Candy During Squirrel Hill Armed Robbery

SQUIRREL HILL (KDKA) -- A man stole cash and candy from a Squirrel Hill beer store during an armed robbery that took place Saturday night.

Police say around 11:10 p.m., a man entered the It's Dogg'n It beer store on Murray Avenue and pointed a gun at the store clerk. He left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and some candy.

The suspect is described as a black man in his late 20s or early 30s. He has a goatee and is approximately 5-feet-9-inches tall. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a red knit hat and a blue jacket.

Police are investigating.
