Man Surrenders Ending Standoff At McCandless Home

McCANDLESS (KDKA) -- A man who barricaded himself inside a home in McCandless Wednesday evening has surrendered to police.

Police, the SWAT team and other emergency first responders were called to the home on Parkfel Avenue. It all started around 8 p.m.

According to police, it started as a domestic situation when a man began making threats.

Officials say a woman fled the home before the man barricaded himself inside.

The situation ended peacefully just before 11 p.m.
