Man Struck By Train In Homestead

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A man was struck by a train in Homestead Sunday night.

The 63-year-old was reportedly "trying to beat" the train while crossing a set of tracks near Amity Street.

Police say the man apparently tripped and was "clipped" by the CSX freight train.

He was taken to UPMC Mercy in unknown condition.
