Man killed, woman injured in Aliquippa shooting

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. (KDKA) — One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting Friday in Aliquippa.

Dispatchers said the shooting happened at a home along Mill Street just after 5 a.m. First responders arrived and performed life-saving measures on the man, who was shot several times. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died. He was later identified as 31-year-old Vincent Ciccone.

Around 7 a.m., KDKA-TV saw one man being brought out of the house in handcuffs by police. He was in bandages and had what appeared to be a wound to his head. He was placed in an ambulance and taken away.

Around the same time, authorities were seen taking two young children out of the house.

Around 8 a.m., there was what appeared to be a woman coming out of the home and driving away with a state trooper.

The state police and the Beaver County district attorney are investigating what exactly happened.

"It's usually very quiet, there are lots of families right here, kids playing, so yeah, this is kind of new for me," said neighbor Sarah Johns.

There's been no word on what led up to the shooting, and police have not released any information.

So far, no charges have been filed.
