Man Injured In Wilkinsburg Shooting, Police Investigating

WILKINSBURG (KDKA) – Allegheny County detectives and Wilkinsburg Police are investigating an early Tuesday morning shooting on Susquehanna Street.

Police confirm that someone shot a 31-year-old man twice in the chest. The victim was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital just before 4 a.m. He was last listed in critical condition.

Investigators focused their attention on a silver car parked in the driveway of a home on Susquehanna Street. Officers opened the side doors and shined their flashlights to look for evidence and process the scene. Officers were also seen searching nearby yards and the wooded area near the intersection of Wood Street.

Police have not released a motive or any suspect information.

The victim is believed to have been sleeping in the vehicle prior to the shooting.
