Man Shot, Killed Overnight In Larimer

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are investigating a fatal shooting in the city's Larimer section.

It happened around 3:20 a.m. near a Sunoco gas station on Frankstown Avenue and Lowell Street.

"When they arrived, in addition to some people who were still present, they also found the victim, a male," said Pittsburgh Police spokeswoman Sonya Toler.

The Allegheny County Medical has identified the victim as 31-year-old Paul Jones Jr. from Duquesne. He died from a single gunshot wound and his dead has been ruled a homicide.

He was shot in the chest, and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are looking for a suspect.
