Man Shot In Homewood

HOMEWOOD (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police are investigating after a man was shot in Homewood early Sunday morning.

The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. in the 7700-block of Forest Way.

According to police, officers were sent to the scene for reports that a man had been shot. The 50-year-old victim said he was walking toward Brushton Avenue with a 51-year-old woman when they heard several gunshots, and the man realized he had been shot in the arm. He then went to a nearby home and called 911. He was sent to UPMC Presbyterian in serious condition.

Police say officers had already been sent to the intersection of Forest Way and North Braddock Avenue, one block away from where the man was shot, for reports of multiple shots fired in the area.
