Man Shot In Arm, Leg In Homewood

HOMEWOOD (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after a man was shot in the arm and the leg in Homewood Sunday afternoon.

According to the Department of Public Safety, police were sent to North Homewood Avenue and Felicia Way around 1:05 p.m. They found a 56-year-old man who had been shot in the arm and the leg. The victim was sent to UPMC Presbyterian in stable condition. His identity has not been released.

Police say the victim was walking on North Homewood Avenue when an unknown man shot him then fled the scene on foot toward Frankstown.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s who has a bald spot on the back of his head. He was last seen wearing a black shirt.

Police continue to investigate.
