Man Sentenced To Anger Mgmt. Classes For Brutally Kicking Puppy
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A Westmoreland County man has been sentenced to anger management classes and handed fines after pleading guilty to brutally kicking a puppy.
Zachary Grant Gannon, 21, was in court Monday, facing animal cruelty charges for kicking his aunt's 8-month-old puppy so hard that one of the animal's legs had to be amputated.
The dog, named Emily, belongs to Mary Gannon, Zachary's aunt.
"I disown him as a nephew, he sickens me," she said.

He admitted to the crime, saying he was angry the dog had urinated "everywhere."
"Boxers are boxers, they have that tendancy," Gannon said. "That dog didn't hurt anybody, you can wipe pee off a shoe anytime."
Gannon will have to take anger management classes, pay more than $900 in vet bills and be fined. These charges will be a part of his permanent record.
"This is a tentative agreement, but if it goes through, we're very happy with the result," said Jan Dillion, a Humane Society Police officer.
The dog is expected to make a full recovery.
