Man Robbed At Knifepoint At East Liberty Gas Station

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police arrested a man after they say he robbed a man at knifepoint, taking a gun and cash from him while at a gas station.

It happened around 9:40 p.m. at a gas station on North Highland Avenue in East Liberty.

Police say 25-year-old Stewart Townsend approached the man with a knife and after the two struggled, he got away with the money and man's licensed handgun.

Townsend and another man then allegedly took off on bicycles.

Townsend was found a short while later, but police did not find the second man.
