Man Killed, Woman Hurt When ATV Flips In Westmoreland Co.

BLAIRSVILLE, Pa. (KDKA/AP) - A man is dead and a woman hospitalized after their all-terrain vehicle flipped in western Pennsylvania.

Michael Winklosky was killed in the crash around 6:30 p.m. Sunday in Derry Township, Westmoreland County.

Police say the 49-year-old lost control of the ATV in a wooded area near Route 316 and Chestnut Ridge Road.

According to the coroner, Winklosky was climbing a steep hill when the ATV flipped and landed on top of him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Winklosky's passenger was taken to Excela Latrobe Hospital. Officials say her injuries are not life threatening.
