Man Killed In West Deer Twp. Fire
WEST DEER (KDKA) – One person was killed when a trailer caught fire in West Deer Township early Sunday morning.
Authorities say a trailer on Crest View Drive went up in flames.
Pictures from the scene show very little left, except for some supporting beams.
Officials say a man was killed in the fire. He has since been identified as 85-year-old Ernest Geer. He died of acute fumes and smoke inhalation.
It's unclear how the fire initially started.
The fire marshal is investigating.
