Man Dies After Crashing Into Tree In Indiana Co.

CONEMAUGH TWP. (KDKA) -- A man is dead after crashing into a tree in Conemaugh Township on Saturday.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. on Tunnelton Road near Auen Road.

Police say 57-year-old Ruel Root was driving south on Tunnelton Road when he left the roadway and struck a tree.

Root was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead at UPMC Presbyterian.
