Man Injured After Being Shot In Leg In Fineview

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a man was shot during an argument in the city's Fineview section Friday afternoon.

According to officials, the shooting happened at Mercy and Letcshe Streets around 12:30 p.m.

The 25-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in stable condition.

Investigators say it all started in a building on Letcshe Street where the victim got into an argument with another man. Once outside, the victim began to walk along Mercy Street when the suspect began to fire shots.

The victim retreated behind an apartment complex where officials found him.

Shell casings were found near the scene.

The suspect is described as an African American man who was wearing tight burgundy pants and a black tank top.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact Pittsburgh Police.
