Man Suffers Amputations After Being Hit By Train On South Side

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police say a man "suffered amputations" when he was struck by a train on the South Side.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday near 19th Street.

Police say the 32-year-old man was riding a bike near the tracks when it happened.

He is currently in critical condition at UPMC Mercy.

No word on his identity.
