Man Guilty Of Harassment For Kicking 102-Year-Old Woman

NEW CASTLE (AP) - A 66-year-old man has pleaded guilty to harassment for kicking a 102-year-old woman in the shin when he was visiting his mother in a nursing home.

Michael Pavelek, of Fairview Township, acknowledged kicking the woman before he was fined $150 plus court costs.

Neshannock Township Police say the incident happened at the Jameson Care Nursing Home on Oct. 18.

That when police say Pavelek was walking his mother down the hall and became annoyed when the 102-year-old woman began following them. They say Pavelek kicked the woman's shin, cutting her, then kicked the woman again as the nurse tried to pull him away.

When the nurse told Pavelek he could hurt the woman, he reportedly said, "Good."

Pavelek pleaded guilty and was fined on March 5. His phone rang unanswered Wednesday.
