Man Found Shot To Death In Spring Garden

TROY HILL (KDKA) - Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in the city's Spring Garden neighborhood early Thursday morning.

According to police, the 40-year-old man was found on a set of city steps in the 1000 block of Vinial Street around midnight.

He has been identified as John Miller, 40, of Fort Loudon. According to the medical examiner, Miller suffered gunshot wounds to the head, trunk and extremities.

Earlier in the evening, police received a shots fired call. At this point, it is unclear if that call is related to the man's death.

There are surveillance cameras at Pittsburgh Mirror and Glass, a business located beside the steep stairs.

Police detectives spoke to the business owner Thursday morning. So far, no suspects have been named in this case.
