Police Identify Man Found Shot Dead In Homewood

HOMEWOOD (KDKA) -- Police have identified a man found dead with multiple gunshot wounds on Saturday morning in Homewood North.

Officers were sent to the 7200 block of Stranahan Street around 7:45 a.m. for a report of a body on the sidewalk.

When they arrived on the scene, they found a man who appeared to have multiple gunshot wounds lying dead on the sidewalk.

The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Denard A. Burton, of Pittsburgh.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call homicide detectives at 412-323-7800.

The investigation is ongoing.
