Man Dies In Hospital Following Burgettstown Shooting

BURGETTSTOWN (KDKA) - A man has died after being shot outside of a home in Burgettstown late Wednesday night.

According to police, the shooting happened around 9 p.m. at a home on Hillcrest Avenue.

Brian Wilbert, 38, of Robinson Township, was shot once. He was flown to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was died around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police found a knife and a gun at the scene.

Wilbert and another man went to the home to see an ex-girlfriend. Police questioned the other man, but he was not taken into custody.

However, police do have a person of interest. No charges have been filed at this time.
