Man dies after shooting in Elliott; 1 person charged

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — One person is facing charges after a man was fatally shot in Pittsburgh's Elliott neighborhood on Oct. 1.

Police were called to a scene on Lakewood Street around 4:30 a.m. last month.

Once they arrived, they found the victim, who was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries. The medical examiner identified him as 41-year-old Carrington Keys. 

On Nov. 9, police said Donte Brewer, 40, was apprehended by law enforcement. He is charged with criminal homicide, tampering with evidence and firearms violations.
