Man Dies After Being Hit By Train In Westmoreland Co.

SEWARD (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a man was hit and killed by a train in Westmoreland County early Sunday morning.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the accident happened near the intersection of Routes 56 and 711 in Seward shortly before 1 a.m.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a Norfolk Southern train.

His identity has not been released and what led to the accident is not yet known.
