MONACA (KDKA) -- A man died Saturday after being crushed by a car in Monaca.

Officials say David Stepek, 52, was fixing a neighbor's car around 1:30 p.m. on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Reports indicate that the jack slipped and the car fell, pinning Stepek underneath.

"My friend's husband come down to work on my car," said Deborah Lively. "My daughter pulled in, and the car had fell down on him and we didn't know."

Stepek, who was originally from Lawrence County, died as a result of his injuries.
