Man Critically Injured In North Braddock Shooting

NORTH BRADDOCK (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after a man was critically injured in a shooting this afternoon in North Braddock.

It happened around 1 p.m. at Hawkins Avenue and 4th Street.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

As many has 15 shot were fired.

A black sedan with tinted windows was seen leaving the neighborhood around the same time as the shooting.

According to investigators, the drive-by shooting may be related to a fatal shooting in North Braddock last week.

"At this point, we're investigating the fact that there might be a connection to the murder last week, but we can't say definitely at this point," said Lt. Andrew Schurman, of Allegheny County Police.

The investigation continues.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call police.
