Man Confessed, Apologized For Bank Robberies Says FBI

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Federal authorities have detained a man from Greensburg for robbing three banks in Washington and Allegheny counties.

The FBI says John Manning confessed to the robberies, saying, "I know what I did is wrong and I am sorry."

The FBI says Manning used a demand note to hold up banks in Washington, Peters and Castle Shannon.

Manning will be detained until he is indicted by a grand jury.

Manning told officials he's a heroin addict.
