Man Charged With Child Rape Facing Federal Child Porn Case, Too

PITTSBURGH (AP) - A Fayette County man jailed on state charges that he repeatedly raped two teenage girls must appear before a federal magistrate on child pornography charges stemming from the alleged encounters, which carry a minimum 15-year sentence.

Online court records don't list an attorney for 37-year-old David Kinteay Carson, of Uniontown, who was scheduled Tuesday for an initial appearance before a federal magistrate on charges he produced and possessed child pornography of the girls, ages 13 and 15.

The production charges - one for each girl - each carry a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 15 years.

Carson has already been ordered to stand trial in Fayette County on child rape and other charges after both girls testified against him at a preliminary hearing in December.
