Man Charged With Aggravated Assault Of An Unborn Child After Allegedly Punching Girlfriend

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A man is in custody after police say he assaulted his pregnant girlfriend.

It allegedly happened at the Allegheny Commons East apartment complex on the north side.

A woman told police that her boyfriend Jarrett Jones punched her in the stomach knowing she was pregnant.

She also says Jones slammed her onto the ground and choked her.

He is now being charged with aggravated assault of an unborn child.
